Thirty years after receiving his Doctorate of Church Administration, Dr. Norman Hutchins continues to share his vision and anointing as he meets the countless demands of preaching, teaching and singing the Gospel. With many Stellar Award nominations as well as a Grammy Award and Dove Award nomination, Dr. Hutchins has acquired acclaim not only as a singer but also as an exceptional writer. However he still claims that “music is his gift, but preaching is his calling.”
With a ministry that has been at the core of gospel music excellence for more than fifteen years, Dr. Hutchins has several album titles to his credit, including “Battlefield” and “Emmanuel.” He currently serves as Pastor and Founder of Frontline Ministries, has founded the IR Music Group, and acts as CEO of Impact Entertainment Media Group, A Family Value Alternative for Stage and Media.
While serving as Executive Minister of Music for the presiding Bishop of the Churches of God In Christ and acting as the Director of Social Services at the West Angeles Church of God in Christ in Los Angeles, Dr. Hutchins suffered a brief period of blindness. Never losing his passion for God, he continued to preach, write and sing during that difficult time.
Drawing on that mountaintop experience of overcoming, Dr. Hutchins considers his latest release, “Spontaneous Praise Volume One” a call back to the very heart of worship. He defines the recording as “God’s power meeting us at the very point of our need when we dare to praise and worship our creator.” The record further displays this multi-talented clergyman as executive producer, producer and singer/songwriter, who has used his talents to strengthen the world of gospel.
